Supported by SICAP, and inconjunction with Age Action Ireland, Carlow County Development Partnership established Care and Repair in Carlow town and county.
Care and Repair consists of two services
- Repair Service – uses a team of handypersons to carry out small repairs and complete minor home tasks for older persons. This service is a free service where clients only pay for materials used. Our team of workers are Garda Vetted which offers reassurance to our clients.
- Weekly contact service –a phone call made to the client at a pre-arranged time by a member of the care and repair team. The purpose of the call is a befriending call to make sure that the client is ok and also to inform the client of activities and services in the area.
Great for you
The repair service call last between 40 minutes to an hour. We require that someone is on the premises at all times that the service is there.
Our weekly contact service by phone keeps you informed of whats happening, if there is any events coming up or just a friendly chat.
