Have your say on the next LEADER Programme
The new LEADER Programme, co-funded by the EU and the Irish exchequer, is set to commence in late 2023 and run to 2027 with a budget allocation of €4.9 million for Carlow. Carlow County Development Partnership CLG, in partnership with Carlow County Council and the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) is undertaking a comprehensive consultation process to ensure that a robust, high quality and representative Local Development Strategy (LDS) is produced reflecting the county’s current and anticipated sustainable developmental needs.
LEADER follows a community-led local development approach that involves the participation of local people in developing responses to key economic, environmental, and social challenges which exist in their areas. The programme’s approach is based on the belief that people who live and work in rural communities are best placed to decide what actions are required to best support and develop their own areas.
As part of the public consultation process, we are inviting individuals, community and voluntary groups, organisations, farm families, rural business, and social enterprises to attend one of the following public meetings to voice their views and help shape the priorities of Carlow LEADER programme for the 2023 -2027 funding programme which is due to open in Autumn 2023.
These events are open to all with light refreshments on arrival.
