The Covid-19 pandemic is unprecedented in its scale and the challenges it is presenting.

While we are living and working in this difficult and uncertain time, our number one priority at Carlow County Development Partnership is on the physical and mental wellbeing of our employees and their families, our clients and the wider community in which we operate.

As the Local Development Company for Carlow, we know we have a key role to play in supporting our clients and communities,  particularly those most vulnerable, during this challenging time.  We have a nineteen year legacy of responsible and sustainable work in Carlow and we are committed to doing all we can to keep our employees, clients and communities safe and well.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we established in March 2020 an in-house team to monitor the rapidly changing Covid-19 situation, responded quickly and acted appropriately, adhering to the Public Health Guidelines and advice given by Government and the Health Service Executive.  We also implemented a variety of additional Health and Safety policies and have equipped, up-skilled and enabled all of our employees to work from their home so that we can continue to deliver services and support to our clients and meet contractual commitments to our stakeholders. We have also established new strategic partnerships to deliver high impact and immediate responses to the  specific challenges Covid-19 is presenting to our clients and communities throughout Carlow.

While our offices in Carlow and Bagenalstown are physically closed, we continue to deliver our services and supports remotely to our growing number of clients and communities.  I am proud and inspired by the way our employees have risen to the challenge of service continuity while adhering to all Public Health Guidelines – with flexibility, resilience and courage.

We look forward to meeting with our clients, communities and  stakeholders in person, to exchange greetings and share new ideas.  Until then, stay safe and take care.
