One of our long standing Rural social scheme participants retired this week after 16years. Michael Corcoran who hails from Drummond St Mullins, has given 16 years of loyal service to the local community of Drummond in his role as caretaker of the community centre and surrounding area.

Michael took great pride in his work and no job was ever too big or small for him to undertake. The community came out in force to mark the occasion of Michael’s retirement with a farewell function in the community centre on Thursday last the 27th of October.

Niamh Murphy Rss Supervisor thanked Michael for all his hard work over the years and wished him all the best for his retirement on behalf of herself and Carlow county development.
