Mary Walsh

Mary Walsh, Chief Executive Officer

Mary Walsh was appointed as Chief Executive of Carlow County Development Partnership Ltd in 2002, having previously held the position of Chief Executive of Carlow LEADER Company. During her 13 year career at senior management level, she has been directly involved in many of the significant developments within both companies and in particular the strategic transformation in response to a rapidly changing external environment. Her previous background includes roles within the pharmaceutical and financial sectors.

Mary graduated from University College Cork in 1999 with a Master’s Degree in Business Studies, specialising in Entrepreneurship.  She also holds a Degree in Business Management, a Diploma in Human Resource Management and qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Career Coaching and is a qualified adult tutor. 

Olive Nolan

Olive Nolan, Finance Manager

Olive Nolan is the Finance Manager with direct responsibility for all financial matters relating to the various Programmes administered through Carlow County Development Partnership Ltd. Her responsibility includes internal Management Accounts/Financial Reports and Government Department Reports and returns together with the monitoring of all expenditure and investments against budgets across all programmes. In addition Olive has responsibility for all internal and external auditing, including Department Inspectors, EU and Company Auditors.

A graduate of UL, Olive holds qualifications in Business Studies (BBS), Finalist ACCA. She also has a Master in Philosophy (honours) from the University of Limerick.

She has considerable experience in Industry in both Finance and Administration.

Karl Duffy

Karl Duffy, Social Inclusion Manager

Karl Duffy was appointed Social Inclusion Manager in September 2014 and manages the Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP) and the Carlow Jobs Club . Karl has previously worked for the Eastern Health Board and was CEO of Action South Kildare. Karl worked as a therapist in Geneva in private practice, while also lecturing in psychology. He has also worked intensively with groups and organisations, especially in the area of stress reduction and Mindfullness for individuals, schools and organisations such as the World Health Organisation and the Red Cross.

Karl’s qualifications include an M.A in Psychology, M.A in Theology, B.A in Philosophy, Diploma in Facilitation Skills, Mindfulness Stress Reduction Trainer.
